Some parks and greenspaces are not always designed, managed and maintained as we would like or expect.

 

This can be as a result of poor design, indifference and neglect, inadequate funding, poor workmanship, anti-social behaviour and criminal damage.

 

These green spaces are often caught in a spiral of decline -people stop using them, crime increases, damage goes unreported and unmended, nearby property prices are devalued and the site becomes a burden, not an asset.
